DCAP's Mission is to actively participate in the sustenance of pluralism and diversity in all spheres of life - environmental, social, cultural and political - for achieving peaceful co-existence within human society and with nature.

DCAP's mission reflects the ethos of India. India's uniqueness lies in its ancient civilizational traditions, in its amazing natural and social diversity, its universally inclusive philosophical traditions, and scientific and technological strengths.

The mission of DCAP is to carry forward this tradition, while addressing current socio-economic-political and environmental challenges that our society faces, through innovative ideas, strategies and processes.

DCAP is a Public Policy Research and Development Organization based in New Delhi, India.

Established in 1987, the Centre has been working to achieve its goals in partnership with public, private and community institutions at local, regional, national and international levels.

DCAP's programs for the past three decades have been supported by various International Foundations, Bilateral Agencies, Govt of India and State Governments.
